UnBOOlievable Blog Hop Oct. 27th

Hello, everyone!  Welcome to the UnBOOlievable Blog Hop hosted by Lisa of Honey Bearz Designs.  Lisa is giving away some awesome Halloween blog candy, so be sure to leave a comment with your contact address at all the stops for a chance to win!  I'm the second stop on this hop, so you should have arrived here directly from Lisa's blog.  The full blog hop lineup is listed at the bottom of this post.

For my project, I created a cute Halloween card for my little cousin.  The image is from Tiddlyinks.  I colored her up with Copics and then fussycut her.  The patterned papers are all from Echo Park's Chillingsworth Manor collection.  They have been inked with Black Soot distress ink.  I added a Cheery Lynn spiderweb diecut and a Jenni Bowlin Bingo card.  I just love the JB Bingo cards and the spiderweb die. They make me want to create more Halloween cards just so I can have an excuse to use them again!  LOL!  Here is a closeup of this cute little batgirl.  I love to add little touches to my colored images.

Please hop on over to Ashley's blog next to check out her spooky creation!  Below is the complete lineup in case you get lost along the way.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a safe and fun Halloween!

Altered Journal Blog Hop Oct. 26th

Welcome to our Altered Journal Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Robin's blog, you are on the right track! If you happened to stumble upon this hop, you can begin hopping at our host, Melissa's blog.

Our sponsor for this hop is :

She is donating two Cuttlebug embossing folders and ten Colorbok embellishments! You must comment on everyone's blog for a chance to win.

Now, on to my project :

I altered a composition book for my teenager. All the papers and elements -- with the exception of the purple ribbon -- are all from Echo Park's Chillingsworth Manor collection. My daughter selected the papers and elements she wanted me to use. I did the rest. This is actually a pretty quick project to throw together!

This composition book has unlined pages, and my teenager plans to use it to record sketches and ideas.  I asked her what she would write on the first page or what she thinks she might sketch first. Spoken like a true teenager, she looked at me, shrugged, and said, "I don't know". LOL The main thing is that she's happy with it. I'm sure it will be put to great use.

Your next stop is Maria's blog. Here is the lineup just in case you get lost along the way!

Devilish Divas Halloween Blog Hop Oct. 20-21

Welcome to the Devilish Divas Halloween blog hop!  This is a Halloween-themed hop sponsored by Kenny K Downloads One lucky winner will win their choice of FIVE digi’s from the Kenny K Downloads store along with a fun Halloween goodie bag sponsored by me.  Details on how to enter are at the bottom of this post.  Here is a brief bio on our sponsor:

Digi and rubber stamps from KennyK are a fun and edgy way to add the perfect dose of attitude and style to all your creations!

The creator, the artist, the man:  KennyK is a NYC-born professional illustrator who has brought his funky-but-slick, urban-influenced look to the cardmaking and papercrafts world.  His signature style can be seen throughout his various collection of pinup babes, sweet ‘n sassy girls, cool rockin’ dudes, kid’s stuff, retro characters and more at Kenny K Downloads.

Now, on to my project:

I created an easel card featuring Scarlett West as a ghostbuster. I remember when the movie "Ghostbusters" came out. It was a huge hit. So was the theme song. I remember everyone singing "Who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!" LOL!

So, with that in mind, I included the haunted house digi also from Kenny K. I inked the background with TH Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed. I left the moon and the area between it and the haunted house white to make it look like the moon was glowing. The sentiments were computer-generated. The cute little ghost in the corner is a png image freebie from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I highlighted him with a gray Copic pen. It's hard to see in this pic, but I added a tiny bit of Glossy Accents to the ghost's eyes to make them pop a little. The iron fence is a Memory Box die.

I colored Scarlett with Copic pens and then added some Black Diamond Stickles to her hat, Glossy Accents to her buttons for some dimension, more Glossy Accents on her boots for that patent leather shine, and a little bit of sparkle to her skirt with a Sakura pen. Here's a closeup of Scarlett the Ghostbuster:

The scallop trim at the bottom of the orange paper is actually from another sheet of Halloween paper. I just fussycut it and adhered to this paper. The bats and the Happy Halloween stamped sentiment are from a Halloween set by Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Hope you enjoyed your visit! If you'd like a chance to win our blog hop candy, here's what you need to do:

1) Visit each blog in the hop and leave a comment that includes your email address on each one to be eligible. You must comment no later than midnight EST of Sunday, Oct. 21st.

Lollipop Crafts: Something Old, Something New Featuring Karber

This week's challenge over at Lollipop Crafts is Something Old, Something New.  The sponsor spotlight is on Karber Digital, so I have used a Karber image for my challenge card.

The old items I used are:
*Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities
*cloud template

I used the Nesties to cut out the Karber image and also for the scalloped circle mat.  I have a cloud template that I have had in my stash for probably about ten years (!!!) that I still use now to sponge clouds on my projects.

The new items I used are :
*washi tape
*My Mind's Eye Happiness stamp set

I now have a small collection of Washi tape and am trying to get the hang of using them on my projects.  So far, I'm liking washi!  I also used a stamp from a new MME stamp set I recently purchased.  It's the "Just Be You" sentiment under the angel.

Be sure to check out Karber Digital to purchase this angel digi or to check out their other images!  Don't forget to visit Lollipop Crafts and enter this week's challenge, too!
